Partner Stretching & Thai Yoga Massage
Partner Stretching & Thai Yoga Massage with Daniel Orlansky
Sunday, April 26
1:30-4pm • Porter Square
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of partner stretching and Thai Yoga Massage designed to open restricted areas of the body and restore a sense of harmony, ease, and lightness. This workshop blends two powerful approaches to mobility and release: modern PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretching and the time-honored tradition of Thai Yoga Massage.
Partner-assisted PNF stretching uses gentle resistance to improve flexibility and expand range of motion in a safe, effective way. Thai Yoga Massage complements this work through mindful pressure, acupressure points, and soothing joint movements that help release tension and increase circulation.
Together, these practices offer a potent reset—supporting mobility, reducing muscular tightness, easing back and neck tension, and leaving you feeling both deeply relaxed and re-energized.
Cost: $80 (Note - only one of the pair need sign up.)
Required Props: Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes or yoga clothes & please bring two yoga mats (mats are available to rent for $3 at the studio)
Intelligent Breath: Bandha, Pranayama & the Subtle Body
Intelligent Breath: Bandha, Pranayama & the Subtle Body with Masha Leuner & Tatyana Souza
Sundays • April 26, May 3, May 17
2:30-4pm •Newton
Refining Prana to Steady the Mind
This four-part workshop series offers a progressive, embodied exploration of pranayama and bandhas as practical tools for refining energy, supporting nervous system health, and cultivating mental clarity. Rooted in yogic tradition and informed by contemporary anatomical and physiological understanding, the series invites participants to experience breath not only as a technique, but as a living relationship between body, mind, and awareness.
Guided by Masha Leuner, whose work bridges therapeutic yoga, anatomy, and subtle-body inquiry, alongside Tatyana Souza, whose background in yoga and immunology brings a precise, science-informed lens to breath regulation, each session weaves together intentional movement, breathwork, and subtle awareness. Together, they offer a grounded, nuanced approach that honors both classical frameworks and modern insight.
Across the series, participants are supported in preparing the body for pranayama, understanding how breath and bandhas influence physiological and mental states, and developing practices that are safe, sustainable, and meaningful in daily life. The emphasis is on experiential learning, clear context, and thoughtful integration.
What to Expect in Each Session:
Each 90-minute session follows a consistent, supportive arc—beginning with gentle, targeted movement to ready the body for breathwork and bandha work, followed by clear exploration of bandhas from both anatomical and energetic perspectives. Pranayama practices are introduced progressively, with time for reflection, discussion, and guidance around safe home practice and real-life integration.
Session Themes:
April 12 • Session 1 — Igniting the Fire of Transformation
The opening session introduces heating and cleansing pranayamas, including Kapalabhati, paired with grounding movement and exploration of Mula Bandha. These practices are designed to awaken vitality, support digestion, and bring awareness to areas of stagnation, cultivating a sense of brightness and readiness for change.
April 26 • Session 2 — Cultivating Balance & Clarity
This session emphasizes nervous system regulation through rhythmic, symmetrical breathing practices such as Nadi Shodhana and Sama Vritti, supported by Uddiyana Bandha. As breath and awareness synchronize, participants are guided toward steadier attention, emotional balance, and a felt sense of internal spaciousness.
May 3 • Session 3 — Deepening Awareness
Subtler pranayama techniques, including Bhramari and breath retention (Kumbhaka), are explored alongside Jalandhara Bandha to support inward focus and meditative depth. The experience invites refined awareness, quiet insight, and a palpable sense of stillness in both breath and mind.
May 17 • Session 4 — Integration & Continuity
The final session weaves together heating, balancing, and expansive practices into one cohesive experience. Bandhas are explored as a progressive continuum, with an optional introduction to Maha Bandha for those ready to deepen further. The series concludes with practical tools for sustaining an ongoing, integrated breath practice rooted in clarity, calm, and connection.
Who This Series Is For:
This series is well suited for yoga practitioners curious about breath beyond basic cues, teachers seeking a deeper, embodied understanding of pranayama and bandhas, and students interested in nervous system regulation, energy balance, and mental clarity. No prior pranayama experience is required; modifications and contraindications will be addressed throughout.
Cost: Each session can be individually purchased for $89 a session.
Please bring a yoga mat (rentals are available for $3 at the studio)
Why You Practice: Yoga, Ethics, and Healing
Why You Practice: Yoga, Ethics, and Healing with Ashley Mitchell & Liz Bucar
Saturday, May 2
1:30-3:30pm • Central Square
What if your yoga practice is asking you an ethical question—and you’ve never had the space to truly explore it?
In this intimate two-hour experience, Professor and author Liz Bucar and longtime Boston teacher Ashley Mitchell invite you to move, reflect, and inquire. The session begins with a grounding 45-minute yoga practice led by Ashley. Then, rather than rolling up your mat and heading out, you’ll stay to engage in guided reflection and conversation using prompts from a custom workbook drawn from Liz’s forthcoming book, Beyond Wellness: How Restoring the Religious Roots of Spiritual Practices Can Heal Us (Penguin Random House, April 2026).
Together, we’ll explore what it means to practice with integrity, cultural awareness, and care—considering not only how we practice, but why.
You’ll leave with your own copy of the book, thoughtful questions to continue exploring, and the experience of practicing in community with others who are interested in the deeper dimensions of yoga.
Ticket includes a copy of Beyond Wellness and a custom workbook. Space is limited.
Please bring a pen & yoga mat (yoga mats are available to rent in studio for $3)

Sanctuary: A Nervous System Reset & Deep Restoration Summer Solstice Workshop
Sanctuary: A Nervous System Reset & Deep Restoration Summer Solstice Workshop with Danielle DelVecchio
Saturday, June 13
2-4pm • Wellesley
Sanctuary is an immersive restorative experience devoted to nervous system regulation and deep, intentional rest - a return to the sanctuary within. This workshop gently guides the body and mind out of chronic activation and toward balance, offering space for mental, physical, and emotional tension to unwind on a deeply embodied level.
Rather than emphasizing movement or complex sequencing, Sanctuary centers on down-regulation, awareness, and rest as a skill. Through a carefully curated blend of practices, students are invited to soften, settle, and recalibrate - learning how stress is held in the body and how restorative techniques can be used with intention to support resilience and overall well-being.
Most of the workshop is experienced lying down in a supportive, soothing environment, allowing the nervous system to shift from effort into integration.
This experience includes:
Gentle Kundalini-based movement and breathwork moving through the chakras
A guided I AM Yoga Nidra™ meditation
A Reiki-infused sound bath with alchemy crystal bowls, drums, rattles, tuning forks and gong
Students will leave feeling calm, grounded, and deeply restored, with a clearer connection to their internal cues and practical tools for supporting nervous system regulation in daily life.
Sanctuary is ideal for anyone feeling overstimulated or depleted, or for those curious about yoga and meditation as pathways toward deep restoration and self-connection.
As this Sanctuary falls at the time of welcoming in the Summer Solstice, the workshop offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and honor the turning of the season. The solstice marks the longest day of the year, a powerful moment when light reaches its peak and nature stands in full expression. It invites us to slow down, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with the vitality and abundance of the season. Together, we create space to soak in the light, celebrate what is blooming within and around us, and move into the months ahead with greater clarity, openness, and renewed energy.

Yoga Therapy for Idiopathic Scoliosis with Masha Leuner
Sunday, June 28
1-2:30pm • Newton & Livestream
Based on the research of Dr. Loren Fishman
This workshop is designed for individuals with diagnosed idiopathic scoliosis who are seeking a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to working with the spine.
Drawing from the published research of Dr. Loren Fishman, we’ll explore how specific isometric and asymmetrical yoga postures may support changes in spinal curvature over time. The role of asymmetrical strengthening in supporting the spine
Key postures used in the research
How different curve patterns (thoracic, lumbar, and S-curve) respond to load and positioning
How to practice with clarity, consistency, and appropriate effort
This is a focused, practical session centered on applying research-based methods in a safe and accessible way.
Who this workshop is for:
Individuals with diagnosed idiopathic scoliosis
Students interested in a more precise and informed approach to practice
Teachers seeking a clearer understanding of how to work with scoliosis in a yoga context

The imaging shows dramatic increases in brain network connectivity during the practice. Specific breathing patterns shift your nervous system into altered states where real rewiring can happen. You leave different than you arrived.
Four Months. Or Just One.
Four themes, three one-hour sessions each, in a small consistent cohort. Each month stands alone. Taken together, they form a full cycle.
Month 1 (July): Clarity
Cutting through the noise to what you actually know.
Three sessions exploring the static you’ve been living inside, the quieter knowing underneath it, and how to stay clear when the world gets loud.
Cost: $120
Please bring a yoga mat (mats are available to rent in studio for $3)
* cost includes all three sessions, there is no proration for missing a session *
Sama Ashtanga Intensive with Chuck Miller
July 13-17
Study with one of the most respected elders of the Ashtanga tradition.
Chuck Miller began practicing yoga in 1971 and studied one-on-one with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois for over 18 years, beginning in 1980. Teaching since 1988, his clear, grounded approach reflects decades of practice before, during, and after the yoga boom.
During the Sama Ashtanga Intensive, expect daily practice and focused clinics that slow things down, refine fundamentals, and explore Ashtanga as both a physical method and philosophical system. Known for his gentle yet precise adjustments, Chuck brings depth, clarity, and practicality to students and teachers alike as he continues to teach worldwide.
Teacher Development: Teaching with Precision — The Architecture of Standing Poses
July 24 | Livestream
What may appear to be separate standing poses are, in the Iyengar method, deeply interconnected studies in alignment, directionality, and intelligent action.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the architectural relationships between Virabhadrasana I, Utthita Trikonasana, and Utthita Parsvakonasana, examining how these forms emerge from shared principles of spinal organization, balanced extension, and directional movement.

Teacher Development: Teaching with Precision — Linking Standing Poses & Forward Folds
August 30 | Livestream
In the Iyengar method, the most skillful teaching often comes not from emphasizing difference, but from illuminating continuity.
This Teacher Development workshop explores the relationship between standing poses and forward bends as one connected continuum of action. Beginning with foundational standing forms — Tadasana, Vrksasana, and Utkatasana — participants will examine how consistent principles of alignment, directionality, and language carry seamlessly into lateral standing poses and forward extensions.
Psychedelic Breathwork Journey
Psychedelic Breathwork Journey with David Magone
A 4-Week Healing Journey Into Expanded States
Fridays • Porter Square
September 4 • 6–8pm
September 11 • 6–8pm
September 18 • 6–9pm **note extended time**
September 25 • 6–8pm
Access profound consciousness shifts. Track your transformation.
No substances required.
This four-week immersive series uses structured breathwork protocols to guide participants into psychedelic-like, non-ordinary states of awareness—experiences often marked by emotional release, somatic unwinding, intuitive insight, and visual or symbolic perception. Each week builds intentionally upon the last, blending deep breathwork journeys with tools for integration, reflection, and measurable personal change.
THE JOURNEY ARC
WEEK 1: MAPPING YOUR TERRAIN
Identify what feels stuck—emotionally, somatically, or energetically.
You’ll establish a 1–10 metric for personal blocks before entering an expanded state through breathwork. Insights may emerge through physical sensation, emotional expression, inner knowing, or visual imagery. Track your numbers again afterward to witness immediate shifts.
WEEK 2: MEETING YOUR EDGE
Work directly with resistance inside non-ordinary consciousness.
Rather than analyzing patterns intellectually, you’ll explore what keeps you stuck while accessing states that allow deeper clarity, perspective, and emotional processing than ordinary conversation often permits.
WEEK 3: THE BREAKTHROUGH (Extended Session - held 6-9pm)
A longer, more immersive breathwork journey designed to support powerful shifts.
Participants frequently report experiences comparable to certain psychedelic or plant-medicine sessions:
• deep somatic release
• emotional catharsis
• symbolic or visionary imagery
• mystical-style insight
• core pattern shifts
WEEK 4: INTEGRATION
Anchor and embody your transformation.
Learn how to carry your insights into daily life, refine your personal tools for accessing expanded states safely on your own, and celebrate the measurable changes you’ve tracked week by week.
This Program Is For You If You:
• Want legal, substance-free psychedelic-like experiences
• Seek measurable transformation, not just intense moments
• Are curious about expanded states without pharmacological support
• Want both the journey and the integration
• Are ready to work with breath, awareness, and emotional honesty
• Appreciate structured, safe space holding
Includes:
• Four themed journeys with integration practice
• Progress-tracking tools for measurable change
• A supportive group container led by an experienced facilitator
Investment: $595
THE RESEARCH
David Magone’s DVRM protocol has been studied at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. fMRI imaging showed brain activation patterns similar to those observed during psilocybin-induced states—suggesting that structured breathwork can evoke comparably expanded modes of consciousness.
Individual experiences vary. This program is not medical care. Please consult your doctor if you have any health concerns.
* this course is not eligible for the YogiPass discount & cost includes all four sessions, there is no proration for missing a session *
Please bring a yoga mat (rentals are available for $3 at the studio)

Sanctuary: A Nervous System Reset & Deep Restoration Fall Equinox Workshop
Sanctuary: A Nervous System Reset & Deep Restoration Fall Equinox Workshop with Danielle DelVecchio
Saturday, September 19
As this Sanctuary falls at the time of the Fall Equinox, the workshop offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and honor the turning of the season. The equinox marks a moment of balance between light and dark, inviting us to slow down, restore the nervous system, and reflect on the season that has passed. As nature begins to shift inward, it offers a gentle reminder to release what feels complete and make space for what is ready to unfold. Together, we create space to ground, recalibrate, and move into the months ahead with greater clarity, steadiness, and intention.

Specialty Class: 108 Sun Salutations: A Moving Meditation for the Spring Equinox with Daniel Loizzo
Sunday, March 29
1:30-3:30pm • Porter Square
The practice of 108 Sun Salutations has long been used as a ritual of reflection, transition, and renewal—yet it is often approached as a test of endurance rather than an invitation into sustained awareness. This specialty class offers a clear, intentional approach that emphasizes pacing, breath, and discernment.
We’ll begin by marking the spring equinox with intention-setting and a thoughtfully sequenced warm-up to prepare the joints, muscles, and breath for repetition. From there, we’ll move through the Sun Salutations in measured rounds, allowing space to establish rhythm, modify as needed, and rest without urgency.
Rather than relying on force or momentum, we’ll explore how steadiness and attention support longevity in practice. Approached this way, repetition becomes meditative—cultivating focus, resilience, and a quiet sense of completion.

As this Sanctuary falls at the time of the Spring Equinox, the workshop offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and reset as the seasons shift. The equinox marks a natural turning point into longer days and the energy of renewal, inviting us to rest deeply, restore the nervous system, and gently release heaviness from the winter months. Together, we create space to let the light in and move into the season ahead with greater clarity, vitality, and ease.

About Masha
Masha began practicing yoga in 2005 and quickly became a devoted student. Over time, she became increasingly aware that chronic stress was pushing her body toward burnout. Balancing a fast-paced corporate career, a new baby, and a practice that was calling for radical change became unsustainable. In 2016, she left the corporate world and enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training in Boston. She has been teaching in Boston ever since.
Masha’s teaching style has evolved over the years, yet her core intention remains the same: to offer yoga as a practical tool for self-inquiry and support the body’s innate capacity to heal.

The Path of the Lotus: Water Flow with Brittney Burgess
Friday, February 27
6-8pm • Porter Square
The lotus flower rises from the mud, nourished by the elements until it opens fully on the surface of the water. Like the lotus, each of us requires elemental support to grow, evolve, and embody our fullest potential. Join Brittney Burgess for the second workshop in this four-part seasonal series—take one or take them all—as you explore your own capacity to rise from the depths into the light. Each session offers a unique experience, from deeply grounding to highly energizing, inviting you to embody earth, water, air, and fire in both your practice and your life.
In this winter Water workshop, you’ll awaken fluidity, creativity, and trust—connecting to the element that reminds us life is always shifting. Through intentional movement, you’ll soften resistance, dissolve what has felt stuck, and rediscover the freedom that comes from flowing with, rather than against, your inner tides. Shoulder Stand: Structure and Stillness
Shoulder Stand: Structure and Stillness with Michael Ponte
Monday, February 16
2-4pm • Brookline
Shoulder Stand has long been regarded as a foundational inversion in classical yoga, yet in modern practice it is often rushed, avoided, or reduced to a brief closing posture. This workshop offers a clear, structured approach to Shoulder Stand that emphasizes preparation, support, and stillness.
We begin with a thoughtfully sequenced practice designed to prepare the shoulders, spine, hips, and breath for inversion. From there, we break down the architecture of Shoulder Stand step by step, using support to protect the cervical spine while cultivating lift, stability, and ease.
Rather than relying on force or flexibility, we explore how patience and proper structure allow the pose to unfold with clarity. When approached this way, Shoulder Stand becomes a place of steadiness and quiet focus, inviting sustained attention and composure.
