The Path of the Lotus: Water Flow with Brittney Burgess
Friday, February 27
6-8pm • Porter Square
The lotus flower rises from the mud, nourished by the elements until it opens fully on the surface of the water. Like the lotus, each of us requires elemental support to grow, evolve, and embody our fullest potential. Join Brittney Burgess for the second workshop in this four-part seasonal series—take one or take them all—as you explore your own capacity to rise from the depths into the light. Each session offers a unique experience, from deeply grounding to highly energizing, inviting you to embody earth, water, air, and fire in both your practice and your life.
In this winter Water workshop, you’ll awaken fluidity, creativity, and trust—connecting to the element that reminds us life is always shifting. Through intentional movement, you’ll soften resistance, dissolve what has felt stuck, and rediscover the freedom that comes from flowing with, rather than against, your inner tides. Expect a practice that is both powerful and soft, designed to cultivate spaciousness and ease within.
This experience includes a water-element meditation, journal prompts, and a powerful, flowing asana practice in a lightly heated room to awaken your Svadhisthana (Sacral) Chakra.
Bring a notebook, writing utensil & yoga mat (yoga mats are available to rent in the studio for $3).
Cost: $40
