Visiting Teachers
Our visiting teacher offerings create rare opportunities to expand your understanding, explore new ways of moving and seeing, and connect more deeply with our broader yoga community.
September 11-13
Study with a living legend whose insight into movement and anatomy transforms how you practice.
Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD, PT, has taught yoga since 1971, co-founded Yoga Journal, and trained teachers worldwide with her signature blend of clarity, curiosity, and care.
In The Pelvis Is Everything, expect a thoughtful mix of lecture, asana, restorative practice, and pranayama exploring how the pelvis shapes movement, posture, and perception. This workshop invites students and teachers alike to look beyond poses and reconnect with the source of movement itself.
November 13-15
Study with a deeply thoughtful and experienced Ashtanga teacher who brings philosophy, breath, alignment, and practical wisdom to life.
Tim Feldmann has practiced Ashtanga Yoga since 1994 and is certified in the traditional Mysore lineage through Sharath Jois. His teaching weaves together breath, alignment, anatomy, and yoga philosophy to support sustainable, long-term practice.
During this workshop weekend, expect Mysore-style practice, focused technique sessions, and explorations of philosophy as it applies on and off the mat. Tim’s grounded, accessible approach invites students of all levels to deepen their understanding of traditional Ashtanga.
April 30 - May 2, 2027
Study with one of today's leading voices exploring yoga's roots, inviting practitioners to engage the tradition with greater depth, integrity, and belonging.
Susanna Barkataki is the award-winning author of Ignite Your Yoga and Embrace Yoga's Roots, a Yoga Psychology PhD scholar, and founder of Ignite Institute. Drawing from both India's Shankaracharya lineage and the engaged mindfulness tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, she has guided thousands of students and teachers toward a deeper understanding of yoga as a living practice.
Throughout the weekend, expect a thoughtful blend of philosophy, practice, reflection, and dialogue that explores yoga beyond the poses. Susanna's teaching offers practical tools for integrating the wisdom of yoga into everyday life while honoring its rich history, cultural roots, and transformative potential.
