Specialty Class: 108 Sun Salutations: A Moving Meditation for the Spring Equinox with Daniel Loizzo
Sunday, March 29
1:30-3:30pm • Porter Square
The practice of 108 Sun Salutations has long been used as a ritual of reflection, transition, and renewal—yet it is often approached as a test of endurance rather than an invitation into sustained awareness. This specialty class offers a clear, intentional approach that emphasizes pacing, breath, and discernment.
We’ll begin by marking the spring equinox with intention-setting and a thoughtfully sequenced warm-up to prepare the joints, muscles, and breath for repetition. From there, we’ll move through the Sun Salutations in measured rounds, allowing space to establish rhythm, modify as needed, and rest without urgency.
Rather than relying on force or momentum, we’ll explore how steadiness and attention support longevity in practice. Approached this way, repetition becomes meditative—cultivating focus, resilience, and a quiet sense of completion.
