The Practice of Recovery: A Nervous System Reset for Burnout with Meg Gaucher

Sunday, October 4

12-1:15pm • Central Square

Burnout isn’t simply the result of a long to-do list or working long hours. It’s a state of exhaustion that shapes how we think, respond, and move through daily life.

As the pace of fall picks up and routines begin to fill the calendar, many of us find ourselves stuck in survival mode — feeling depleted, overstimulated, and unable to fully rest. Drawing from her background in wellness education, trauma-informed yoga, social work, and health communications, Meg offers a thoughtful, interdisciplinary approach to understanding stress, recovery, and resilience.

Together, we’ll explore the clinical understanding of burnout and how chronic stress impacts the nervous system and overall well-being before turning toward practice. You’ll be guided through a thoughtful 30-minute restorative practice designed to help downshift the system, release accumulated tension, and support a return to balance.

You’ll leave with a practical, sustainable toolkit — including simple breathwork, gentle movement, and accessible Yoga Nidra techniques — to help regulate stress, restore energy, and support your well-being throughout the week.

Cost: $40

Please bring a notebook, writing utensil & yoga mat (rentals are available for $3 at the studio)
