Strength & Stillness: Yin Meets Ashtanga with Elliott McEldowney & Evan Kenny

Saturday, November 1

1:30-3:30pm • Central Square

Experience the harmonious balance of effort and ease—Sthira and Sukha—in this workshop that unites the expansive stillness of Yin with the breath-driven depth of Ashtanga.

Elliott and Evan will guide you through an explorative Yin sequence designed to enliven the fascia (connective tissue), offering a chance to soften into mechanical limitations and cultivate a deeper body awareness. The sequence will then transition into an Ashtanga-inspired flow, drawn from both the primary and secondary series, to activate the breath, challenge strength, and enhance mobility.

This invigorating physical practice will energize the nervous system and ground the body, leading into an extended savasana, where down-regulating breathwork will allow you to integrate the experience with clarity and calm.

All levels are welcome, and no prior experience with Yin or Ashtanga is required. This workshop is charged with insight and playful exploration, offering tools that can inform any practice.

Wear clothing you can move in & bring a yoga mat (mats are available to rent in the studio for $3).

Cost: $50
