Finding Support from the Inside Out: Pilates & the Pelvic Floor with Margaret Duncan (MD) & Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas (DPT)

Saturday, June 6

12:30-2:30pm • Central Square & Livestream

Join Down Under Pilates instructor and perinatal psychiatrist Margaret Duncan (MD), alongside guest pelvic floor physical therapist and author of Power to the Pelvis, Dr. Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas (DPT), for an interactive exploration of the pelvic floor and its essential role in movement, stress regulation, and overall well-being.

Together, they will introduce the foundational anatomy and function of the pelvic floor, illuminating how this often-overlooked system relates to breath, mindfulness, and the body’s response to stress.

The workshop will conclude with a thoughtfully designed Pilates flow, offering an opportunity to experience these concepts in motion and develop a deeper, more intuitive understanding of support from the center of the body.

Open to all levels, this session offers practical insight and embodied tools to support both your Pilates practice and everyday life.

Cost: $60

Please bring a yoga mat (rentals are available for $3 at the studio)

***For livestream participants: a Zoom invitation email will go out to pre-registered students 1 hour before the class. Please make sure we have the correct email address on file for you so you receive your invitation! Contact the studio at 617.566.9642 with any questions.***
