In honor of Nadja Refaie, founding mother of Down Under whose long cancer battle takes her from our classrooms, we collectively acknowledge her tremendous gifts to our community, Nadja’s influence is woven into the fabric of walls of our school and imprinted indelibly on the hearts of students and colleagues everywhere.
In her last days, Nadja told Justine she loved the idea a scholarship fund in her name that would help young trainees become professional yoga teachers. In loving memory of her many gifts, the Nadia Refaie Scholarship will be awarded annually to deserving new teacher trainees interested in pursuing Teacher Training.
