The World Goes Round & Round with John Schumacher

Saturday, September 20

12:30-2:30pm • Central Sq

Celebrate Down Under School of Yoga’s Central Square studio opening with a rare opportunity to practice with John Schumacher, widely recognized as one of the world’s leading Iyengar Yoga teachers. Renowned for his precision, insight, and transformative teaching, John has inspired practitioners around the globe with his clarity, depth, and devotion to the art of yoga.

The World Goes Round and Round. Everything in the Universe revolves. That’s just the way it is, but some things seem to revolve more than others. This is true in our asanas as well. Revolution occurs in every asana, more so in some than in others. In the workshop, we will explore this process in twisting poses (Parivrtta and Parsva) and in poses that don’t seem to be twisting poses yet still incorporate turning round and round as an integral part of the pose.

Join us on Saturday, September 20, from 12:30–2:30pm for a 2-hour immersive experience to refine your alignment, deepen your practice, and experience firsthand why John is considered a legend in the yoga community. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from one of the most respected voices in modern yoga.

Cost: $75

While all are welcome to attend, one year of asana practice is recommended for this workshop. Please bring a yoga mat (mats are available to rent in studio for $3)
