Ahimsa in Action: A Community Benefit Practice with Elisa Hurley & Kirstin Koepnick
Friday, November 20
6:30-8:30pm • Porter Square

Join Kirstin and Elisa for a special donation-based yoga practice benefiting the New American Association of Massachusetts (NAAM), an organization that supports refugees and immigrants across Massachusetts through community-based health and wellness programs.

Newcomers often face significant challenges as they adjust to life in a new country, including isolation, displacement, and the emotional demands of building a new home. Through innovative wellness initiatives, NAAM's Health & Wellness Program helps foster resilience, connection, and psychological well-being.

This two-hour workshop begins with a 60-minute Hot Power Flow led by Kirstin and concludes with a 60-minute restorative practice led by Elissa, offering space to cultivate both strength and rest. Together, we'll embody the yogic principles of ahimsa (non-harming), karuna (compassion), and seva (selfless service), using our practice as a way to support the well-being of our broader community.

Cost: Sliding Scale donations from $20-$100. All proceeds from the workshop will benefit NAAM's Health & Wellness Program: https://naamass.org/programs-services/wellness-program/

Please bring a yoga mat (rentals are available for $3 at the studio)
