KIRSTIN KOEPNICK

VINYASA FACULTY

Kirstin Koepnick is a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at Harvard University with a unique blend of academic and wellness expertise. Her research explores the fascinating ways ice sheets interact with the atmosphere and oceans.

Kirstin’s yoga journey began in high school, when her stepmom, a yoga teacher-in-training, frequently called on her as a practice student. This sparked Kirstin's deep connection to yoga, inspiring her lifelong practice.

Kirstin is a graduate of Down Under Yoga’s 200 and 300 Hour teacher training programs. Her style is a fusion of Baptiste-inspired hot power flow and dynamic, faster-paced sequences that center the connection of breath with movement. She is known for helping students reconnect with their bodies and find peace in the present moment through a creative, powerful, intelligent class.

When not immersed in research or teaching yoga, Kirstin enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and cooking, particularly over a campfire. She believes in finding inspiration and joy in the natural world, wherever it may take her.
