Sweat for Justice: Neighborhood Birth Center with Ashley Mitchell & Stephen Gresham
A Donation Class
Saturday, June 3
1:30-2:45pm • Brookline & Livestream
Racial Disparities in maternal health increase the risk for adverse health outcomes, including maternal death.
Neighborhood Birth Center is opening a first of its kind birth center in Boston next year - a Black-led, freestanding, full spectrum midwifery clinic that aims to advance health, birth, and racial equity. As they center the people and communities who are usually not centered in the design of health care spaces: Black, Brown, and Indigenous, youth, immigrant, LGBTQ+, low-income and others, NBC holds true that everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging, in labor and birth and across their entire lifespan.
Join us for an afternoon of connection and sweat as we fundraise for Neighborhood Birth Center, an organization dedicated to improving birth experiences and outcomes, and advancing racial equity in birth and other health measures. This class is all levels and will be co-taught by Stephen and Ashley.
Donations: starting at $10
