Yoga and Ayurveda are both rooted in Vedic philosophy. While they are often practiced separately, they exist in harmony. They were never meant to be separated because together, they represent a complete family of healing disciplines.
Ayurveda rejuvenates the body/mind, while Yoga purifies the mind/body. Yoga aims to calm the mind and establish longevity through preserving body and breath while raising spiritual consciousness. Ayurveda aims to prevent disease through food sustenance, lifestyle activities, herbs, and by having balanced senses to inform our perceptions.
Yoga and Ayurveda work together to achieve these mutual goals and keep us in balance with humanity and our natural living world. Join the discussion with Kim Valeri Povey about how the two siblings come together in our daily lives - Education Director, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist.
