TUCKER MEIJER

VINYASA FACULTY

Tucker is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with a BA in English and Film Studies from Amherst College and an MSW from Boston College. Currently working in community health, he brings a deep understanding of the human experience into his yoga teaching.

Tucker first discovered yoga while training as a competitive long-distance runner in college. Initially drawn to the physical benefits, he soon found that yoga offered much more—a pathway to still the mind and live more intentionally. This evolution in his practice inspired him to become a teacher, sharing the transformative power of yoga with others.

He completed his 200-hour teacher training at Down Under and continues to be influenced by the teachings of Kate Heffernan and Michael Ponte. Tucker’s classes are strong, creative, and energetically flowing, designed to challenge students while encouraging introspection. With a focus on asana as a tool for self-awareness, his intentional cueing invites students to tune into their internal experience.

Tucker hopes that his students leave class with greater insight into how they respond to both challenge and rest—on and off the mat—so they can move through the world with more mindfulness.

Outside the studio, Tucker enjoys reading, spending time in nature, watching reality TV, and hanging out with his husband and their cat.
