TIM FULTON

VINYASA FACULTY

Tim brings a rare depth of experience to his teaching, shaped by six years as a submarine warfare officer in the U.S. Navy, including operational deployments on a fast attack submarine and a strategic tour at the Pentagon. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he studied quantitative economics, his background reflects a disciplined intellect and a capacity to perform with clarity under pressure—qualities that now inform his approach to yoga.

He was first introduced to the practice in 2018 while in Charleston, SC, during an intensive phase of nuclear engineering training. Initially drawn to the rigor of the physical practice, he soon recognized yoga as a sophisticated system for regulating the nervous system and cultivating mental steadiness. Following his transition from active submarine duty to Washington, DC, his practice became an essential method of decompression and integration, ultimately leading him to pursue teaching as a way to offer others the same tools for resilience and self-awareness.

Tim completed his 200-hour teacher training in Uvita, Costa Rica. His classes are grounded in power vinyasa, with a refined emphasis on alignment, breath, and intelligent sequencing. He is particularly interested in the interplay between effort and awareness. Guiding students toward practices that are both physically demanding and internally clarifying.
