SYDNEY PENO

PILATES FACULTY

With an analytical mind and an artist’s sensibility, Sydney brings both precision and creativity to her work as a movement instructor. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Data Science and works professionally as a Data Scientist at Dell Technologies. Her academic and corporate background have cultivated a deep appreciation for structure, systems, and intentional design, qualities that subtly inform her approach to teaching.

A former dancer trained across multiple disciplines for sixteen years, Sydney has long understood movement as both discipline and expression. While studying abroad in Melbourne, Australia, she discovered Pilates and yoga and was drawn to their blend of strength, breath, and artistry. The transition into corporate life only deepened her commitment to movement. Time on the mat became both anchor and restoration. After completing her master’s degree, she chose to formalize her passion by becoming an instructor, sharing the clarity, empowerment, and joy she found in the practice.

Sydney is certified in Yoga Sculpt and is formally trained through Pilates Academy International’s Mat Pilates program, where she continues to refine her study of the method. With nearly a year of teaching experience, she is especially inspired by witnessing students grow stronger and more confident each week, developing not only physical capacity but a deeper trust in themselves.

Her classes offer a full body, breath driven experience that honors classical Pilates principles while incorporating contemporary creativity. She emphasizes intentional transitions, core centered strength, and musicality, creating sessions that feel purposeful, fluid, and intelligently designed. Students are guided to move with awareness and control, building strength that extends well beyond the studio.

Sydney hopes students leave feeling connected, capable, and empowered, carrying renewed confidence into both their movement practice and daily lives.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, she enjoys traveling home to spend time with family, especially in the fall. Outside the studio, she can often be found immersed in a good book, discovering new gluten free cafés, or exploring the city with friends.
