SAMANTHA ARAK
VINYASA FACULTY
Samantha discovered yoga as the perfect counterbalance to the physical and mental demands of competitive collegiate distance running. While studying at Tufts University, she would bike to the Porter Square studio after cross-country practice, mopping the floor before and after class. What started as a post-run ritual soon transformed into a deep passion for the practice, leading her to pursue yoga teacher training. Samantha completed her 500-hour certification with the Baptiste Institute and has since assisted numerous teacher trainings and Baptiste programming across North America.
Her classes are filled with vitality, intensity, and a healthy dose of humor, creating a strong sense of community. Samantha encourages her students to explore their edge, blending strength and surrender in each practice. A two-time lululemon ambassador, she leads with vitality and inspires those around her to pursue what truly lights them up.
In addition to her yoga practice, Samantha is the founder of Samantha Carey Interiors, a Boston-based interior design firm. Her work has been featured in Northshore Home Magazine, The Boston Globe Magazine, and Business of Home.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Samantha is a passionate runner who has completed some of the world's most renowned marathons. She is gearing up for both the Boston and Sydney Marathons this year, with the Abbott World Marathon Majors on her radar—Tokyo, London, and New York are next. She balances endurance with moments of joy, adventure, and quiet cuddles with her elementary-aged children, her husband Jeremy (who supports her every mile), and their rescue dog, Fetch. Samantha finds peace in Maine, on the dock with a good book, after a day well spent in the woods and on the water—always ready to climb into bed by 8:00 PM.
With undergraduate degrees in Economics and Community Health, and a Masters in Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine, Samantha’s journey reflects a unique blend of disciplines.
