SACHA SERGENT
FITNESS FACULTY
Sacha is an M.D. candidate at Boston University dedicated to the intersection of science, health, and wellness. Prior to BU, Sacha obtained a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University, and worked as a clinical researcher in gene editing medicines. Her background and current research in anatomy and education inform her teaching with a deep anatomical understanding of the body and of the mental resilience required for peak performance.
Her journey began with a decade of training and national competition in Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. This foundation in discipline and structural precision eventually led her to practice and then teach classes across various fitness modalities, from kickboxing to TRX, spin, pilates, and barre. In 2025, Sacha deepened her yoga practice by completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Down Under.
Sacha’s teaching style is dynamic and purpose-driven, blending scientific precision with upbeat, themed playlists. She emphasizes the "why" behind every movement, aiming for her students to leave feeling stronger, more accomplished, and empowered. Her goal is for students to build long-term, sustainable strength to support healthy longevity. When she isn't in the studio or in clinic, Sacha finds balance in exploring New England with friends and channeling her focus into creative crafts like painting and bead embroidery.
