MARIYAM QUAISAR

FITNESS FACULTY

Mariyam studied Journalism and Business at Emerson College before building a professional career in marketing, currently working as a Marketing Specialist for Bon Appétit Management Company. Existing at the intersection of wellness, hospitality, and communication, her work reflects a longstanding interest in creating experiences that foster both connection and well-being.

A lifelong athlete, Mariyam was introduced early to the world of movement through both sports and the influence of her mother, a yoga teacher who instilled in her an appreciation for the transformative power of teaching. While working at a gym during college, she became increasingly inspired by instructors whose energy and presence could shift the atmosphere of an entire room, ultimately leading her to pursue teaching herself.

Mariyam is NASM certified in Group Fitness Instruction and teaches strength and HIIT-based classes. Her approach to teaching is rooted in energy, intentionality, and the belief that movement is as much a mental practice as it is a physical one. Her classes are dynamic and strength-forward, balancing athletic conditioning with a strong awareness of the mind-body connection. Through intentional coaching and a motivating yet approachable presence, Mariyam encourages students to move beyond limitation while remaining deeply attuned to themselves throughout the process, ultimately leaving class feeling empowered, capable, and more connected to their own strength. She often reminds students that simply arriving is the hardest part, and that the practice begins the moment they choose to show up for themselves.

Outside the studio, Mariyam enjoys good food, good books, and meaningful time with family and friends. Originally from Connecticut, she especially loves summers by the lake, quiet winter evenings, and traveling to spend time with her family, who immigrated from India and now live across the country.
