LINDA WATTS

IYENGAR FACULTY

Linda holds a master’s degree in Public History and brings over twenty-five years of experience in brand and marketing leadership within the health and wellness industry, driven by a passion for building community-centered brands that enhance quality of life.

A Yoga Alliance–certified RYT-500 instructor with more than twenty years of personal practice, she is also a marathon swimmer and former Olympic- and Half-Ironman–distance triathlete. A diagnosis of hip dysplasia and advanced arthritis prompted a deep study of anatomy, shaping a thoughtful, alignment-based approach to yoga that emphasizes longevity, resilience, and self-awareness.

She completed both her 200- and 300-hour trainings at Down Under Yoga, studying across multiple lineages, with her teaching primarily informed by Iyengar principles. Her classes focus on specific areas of the body, progressing methodically to help students better understand movement both on and off the mat.

She aims to create classes that are exploratory, accessible, and purposeful—inviting students of all levels to cultivate greater awareness, ease, and quiet strength. She especially enjoys working with athletes, older adults, and students of all ages seeking a deeper understanding of their bodies.

Outside the studio, she enjoys swimming, yoga, travel, reading, and time with her family.
