JEANIE CHU
VINYASA FACULTY
Jeanie has been practicing yoga for more than 15 years, first coming to the practice in 2010 as a way to manage work stress and complement her running and gym routine. She quickly fell in love with the intensity and challenge of Hot 26, and over time, yoga became much more than a physical practice, opening her to a deeper exploration of breath, mindfulness, and the mind-body connection.
She completed her 200-hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training in Singapore in 2017 and taught extensively across Hot 26, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin before relocating to Boston. Her teaching is grounded in alignment, strength, breath, and mindful awareness, with clear, purposeful cueing and an emphasis on helping students explore their own experience rather than simply chasing the shape of a pose.
Jeanie is a Principal Clinical Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology and organizational leadership, and she is especially interested in the intersection of psychology and mind-body wellbeing. Her additional training includes advanced teacher trainings with Noah Mazé and Christina Sell, Baptiste Level One, Pilates Teacher Training, and Les Mills BODYCOMBAT certification.
Jeanie hopes students leave her classes feeling stronger, more grounded, and more connected to themselves. Off the mat, she loves running, fitness, travel, exploring new places, good food, and lifelong learning.
