EMILY EDSTRÖM
VINYASA FACULTY
Emily’s relationship with yoga began long before she knew the language of asana. A lifelong swimmer, she developed an early appreciation for movement and breath, eventually discovering yoga as a space for connection, creativity, and curiosity about the body. After a period of illness and disability, yoga became an important tool for reconnecting with herself and meeting her body exactly where it was.
Emily received her 200-hour certification from the Kripalu School for Yoga and Health and has been teaching since 2018. She holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and has worked in international mental health, research, and therapy. Her teaching blends structural awareness, somatic exploration, breathwork, and strength-building, with an emphasis on helping students create a practice that feels supportive and right for their own bodies.
Emily hopes students leave class feeling stronger, more capable, and less afraid of their bodies, with a little more curiosity and presence along the way.
