ELEANOR MENZIN
VINYASA FACULTY
As both a pediatrician and Flow Vinyasa teacher, Eleanor approaches yoga with the same values that shape her medical practice: precision, growth, disciplined effort, and a sense of humor. For her, the mat is a space for intelligent work and meaningful quiet.
Eleanor began practicing in 2007 after a leg fracture left her literally off balance. She quickly became part of the early community at Down Under School of Yoga, first studying Iyengar before falling in love with flow under the guidance of Justine Wiltshire Cohen and Barbara Benagh. In 2023, she returned to complete both her 200- and 300-hour trainings, further refining her alignment-based approach as a student of Michael Ponte.
Her classes blend anatomical clarity with steady, thoughtfully sequenced movement—building strength while cultivating mental calm. Grounded, articulate, and subtly humorous, Eleanor teaches for those seeking both resilience in the body and respite from a busy mind.
Off the mat, she is a longtime Massachusetts pediatrician, trained at Harvard College, the University of Pennsylvania, and Boston Children's Hospital, where she developed the same care and discernment that now inform her teaching.
