DARIA KOTOV
VINYASA FACULTY
Daria is a yoga teacher and neuroscience researcher whose work bridges movement, mindfulness, and the study of human development. She holds a B.S. in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Montana State University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Developmental and Brain Sciences at UMass Boston, where her research focuses on the paternal postpartum period and father’s well-being.
Daria began practicing yoga during a transitional period in her life, initially drawn to its structure and physicality. Over time, the practice became a deeper exploration of embodied awareness, leading her to complete her 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher Training at CorePower and later her 300-hour Hatha Yoga certification with the School Yoga Institute in Bali. Her advanced training centers on Hatha, classical tantra, and yoga nidra.
Her teaching emphasizes intentional movement, breathwork, and nervous system regulation. With a focus on slowing down and refining awareness, Daria’s classes encourage a deeper connection between body and mind.
Fluent in Russian and raised in California, Daria is a first-generation American with a global perspective. Outside of her academic and teaching work, she is an avid baker, traveler, and analog enthusiast who swears by her paper planner..
