CAROLINE BRADBURY
PILATES FACULTY
Caroline is currently pursuing her MFA in Visual and Literary Arts at Lesley University and holds a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. A dancer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist, she is also Co-Director of detritus dance, creating contemporary dance work throughout Greater Boston.
Caroline’s relationship with Pilates began through her own rehabilitation after surviving a DVT blood clot. The practice helped her rebuild strength in her leg and ultimately return to dancing, revealing a natural dialogue between Pilates and her lifelong dance practice. What began as a path to recovery developed into a deep appreciation for the method and eventually inspired her to teach. Caroline completed her comprehensive Pilates training through Pilates Academy International and holds an additional Barre certification from Barre & Soul Academy.
Her teaching is technical, dynamic, and deeply embodied, with an emphasis on precision, mind-muscle connection, breath, and musicality. Drawing from her background in dance, Caroline brings thoughtful choreography and a contemporary sensibility to classical movement principles, creating classes that are both rigorous and engaging. With carefully curated playlists and creative sequencing, she encourages students to fully invest in their practice and leave feeling strong, accomplished, and motivated.
Outside the studio, Caroline continues her work as a visual artist, writer, and performer. She is an avid reader, independent film enthusiast, and is almost always planning her next concert.
