AUBREY FRAZIER
IYENGAR/ALIGN FACULTY
Aubrey’s approach to yoga is rooted in alignment, thoughtful instruction, and the belief that a lifelong practice should be accessible to all. A practitioner for over 15 years, she discovered Iyengar yoga at Down Under and was drawn to its emphasis on precision, structural integrity, and mindful exploration. She completed both the 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings at Down Under and has continued her studies through an Iyengar apprenticeship with Cathie Ryder. She currently studies under the mentorship of Raina Fishbane in preparation for assessment and certification through IYANUS.
Aubrey’s classes emphasize careful cueing, alignment, and the creative use of props to help students explore each posture with greater understanding. Drawing on her background in dance and education, she is passionate about cultivating an inclusive environment where students can discover new possibilities in their practice and develop the tools to sustain it over time.
Outside the studio, Aubrey holds a Master of Science in Education from Simmons University, with a specialization in autism, and a graduate certificate in trauma-informed teaching from Lesley University. She works as a high school special education and history teacher, bringing her commitment to accessibility and inclusive learning to both the classroom and the yoga studio. At home in Massachusetts with her two cats, Willow and Opal, she enjoys exploring New England’s natural landscapes.
