AUBREA BAILIS

VINYASA FACULTY

Born and raised in Los Angeles County, Aubrea moved to the East Coast for college, where she studied English Literature and French. After spending time teaching English in France, she made her way to Boston in 2017. Along the way, Aubrea explored a variety of paths—from publishing and coffee shops to restaurants and, ultimately, yoga.

With a background in academia, Aubrea discovered yoga during a time when her mental and physical health were calling her attention away from the life of the mind and back into her body. Yoga became a powerful tool for navigating that transition, teaching her to meet challenge with compassion and encouragement rather than self-criticism and judgment. Through practice, she learned that becoming the hero of her own story first meant becoming her own friend.

Aubrea brings this perspective into every class, encouraging students to meet themselves with kindness, curiosity, and a sense of trust. Her teaching invites students to explore strength through focus rather than force, and to view even challenging moments as opportunities to listen more deeply to their bodies.

Expect thoughtful cueing, introspection, and movement that challenges you to find strength in unexpected places. For Aubrea, yoga isn’t about pushing yourself beyond your limits—it’s about knowing yourself more fully. Her intention is to create a space where students can feel safe connecting deeply with themselves and carry that sense of self-compassion beyond the mat.
