AMANDA BOLAÑOS
FITNESS & VINYASA FACULTY
Amanda (she/her) teaches yoga with a focus on strength, breath, and radical self-acceptance. Originally from Palm Springs, CA, Amanda began practicing yoga during the summer of 2020 in search of peace and grounding amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic. What started as a way to cope with anxiety quickly became a path of healing and embodiment, transforming her relationship with movement, self, and community.
Amanda holds a B.A. in Political Science and Perspectives (Theology/Philosophy) from Boston College, an M.A. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.T.S. from Duke Divinity School. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Theological Ethics at Duke, where her research explores virtue theory, Latinx liberation theology, feminist theology, and Catholic Social Teaching.
Her teaching journey began in 2023 at The Sweat Lab, where she taught spin and fitness classes for two and a half years. She earned her 200-hour RYT through Midtown Yoga with Christy Percival and Katlyn Limer, where she also taught both yoga and strength classes. Amanda’s classes are high-energy and empowering, centering strength-building flows, mindful alignment, and breath awareness. She strives to meet students where they are, offering accessible variations that honor every body and ability.
Amanda’s teaching is inspired by liberative practices that cultivate agency, gratitude, and wholeness. She hopes students leave her classes feeling more connected to themselves and their capacity to move through the world with intention and power.
