ADAM PROCH

RESTORATIVE FACULTY

Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University, with a minor in music. Throughout his life, he has sang in choirs and performed with a cappella groups, cultivating an appreciation for the relationship between breath, rhythm, and collective expression. Professionally, he works as a Product Manager in healthcare technology, centering his career around translating complex ideas across disciplines and helping individuals with different areas of expertise collaborate to solve meaningful problems.

Adam was first introduced to yoga while on vacation, initially drawn to the practice as a way to support flexibility, strength, and mobility for martial arts training in Taekwondo. Within only a few classes, however, the experience revealed itself as something far more expansive. Leaving class feeling both physically challenged and deeply calm made an immediate impression, and he quickly recognized yoga as a practice he would carry throughout his life. Over time, the work became instrumental in managing chronic pain, recovering from athletic injuries, and rebuilding a sense of connection with his body.

He has been practicing yoga for several years and completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Down Under School of Yoga in 2025. He is currently pursuing his 300-hour training with Tiffany Cruikshank through Yoga Medicine. A formative moment in his studies came through a Myofascial Release class with Dina Abbondante — an experience that opened a deeper exploration into self bodywork and the therapeutic potential of movement practices. Since then, he has continued training in Myofascial Release, Yin Yoga, Meditation, and Lymphatics, developing a particular interest in yoga as a complement to both physical and mental therapeutic modalities.

Adam’s teaching blends slow, mindful movement with longer held postures that invite students to develop a more attentive relationship with their internal experience. Drawing on an interest in fascia, tissue health, and the body’s innate intelligence, he guides students toward restoring balance, softness, and connection within the body. His approach reflects a deep respect for both the historical wisdom of the yoga tradition and contemporary scientific understanding of human physiology. He hopes students leave class feeling more connected to their bodies — and equipped with tools that allow them to access greater comfort and ease beyond the studio.

Outside the studio, Adam enjoys making music, cooking, exploring nature, practicing acroyoga, and spending time with friends and family.
