PRATISHTHA CHAUDHARY

VINYASA FACULTY

Pratishtha’s journey as a yoga teacher is deeply rooted in over a decade of experience as a researcher and trainer specializing in gender sensitivity and skills development. She has had the privilege of collaborating with organizations such as the Government of India, the United Nations, and the World Bank, contributing to grassroots initiatives addressing gender-based violence in India and technical education projects in Rwanda. With a background in Economics and Development Studies, Pratishtha now channels her passion for creating inclusive, supportive spaces into her yoga teaching.

Raised in India, Pratishtha was nurtured by the values of dharma, karma, yamas, and niyamas—principles that laid the foundation for her early understanding of yoga. Her personal asana practice began in her late twenties, when movement became a way to reconnect with a stillness she had nearly lost. This transformative experience inspired her to share the healing power of yoga with others.

Pratishtha completed both her 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training at Down Under School of Yoga, studying under renowned teachers Natasha Rizopolous, Kate Heffernan, Michael Ponte, Gregor Singleton, and Justine Cohen. Since starting to teach in January 2024, her focus has been on mindful movement, alignment, and breath awareness.

Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that yoga isn’t about achieving complex shapes—it’s about showing up authentically, wherever you are in your practice. She is passionate about making yoga accessible, particularly to seniors and individuals with limited mobility. This has been a transformative part of her journey, reinforcing her belief that accessible yoga is simply yoga—it’s all connected.

When Pratishtha isn’t in the studio, she enjoys experimenting with family recipes, listening to Kendrick Lamar, or enjoying a leisurely walk in one of Boston’s parks with her husband (and their cat, tucked happily in his backpack!).
