Beloved Ashtanga teacher, Harvard PhD candidate and yogi, Paulina fell in love with the repetitive rhythms of Mysore when they first started graduate school, after having practiced vinyasa yoga since 2006.
As a queer, Vietnamese teacher and education expert, Paulina strives to create inclusive opportunities for all bodies to engage in playful, mindful movement. Paulina is passionate about the power and ritual of Ashtanga's set sequence and their warmth, approachability and kindness make the practice deeply accessible. One of the original influences in Down Under's Mysore school in Cambridge, Paulina is a lifelong learner, complementing their many years of Ashtanga with multiple trainings in various forms of vinyasa, children’s, and trauma-informed yoga. In addition to teaching yoga, Paulina is a researcher and designer. A doctoral candidate at Harvard University in education, with a focus on human development, learning, and teaching. Their dissertation, Learning Together, explores how researchers, teachers, and students engage in constructionist learning within K–12 creative computing classroom communities. Whether in the classroom or the yoga studio, they are excited about creating opportunities to be in community with others. Paulina also enjoys baking, learning to climb, and spending time with their dog and cats.
