AMY ORLANDO
FITNESS FACULTY
Amy began her yoga practice in 2010, looking for "something new" in her workout routine and quickly learned the power that a regular yoga practice holds both on and off the mat. Years later, a knee injury from running half marathons prevented her from continuing to run and left her thinking: what's next? A voice in her head said "yoga teacher training," and she never looked back.
Amy graduated from 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2020 from Windsoul Wellness Center in Tyngsboro, MA during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. She began teaching virtual Vinyasa, Restorative, and Guided Meditation classes to family and friends, hoping to bring peace and a little fun and peace to their quarantines. It was at that point when Amy realized that her passion for yoga wasn't just being a student; it was also sharing her love for the practice as a teacher.
Amy has completed additional training, including a Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training in 2021 with Down Under's very own Meredith Evangelisti, where she fell in love with the Yoga Sculpt format. In Amy's Yoga Sculpt and HIIT classes, you can expect to turn up the heat, both physically and metaphorically, be encouraged to find your edge and try something new, and smile!
As a passionate practitioner and teacher, Amy believes in finding safe alignment of the body, showing up to your mat with the body today gave you, and most importantly, having fun.
Outside of the studio, Amy loves all things outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, you name it.
You can find Amy in Harvard Square, Brookline, and Livestream. She can't wait to meet you.
