Strength & Mobility for Runners with Emma Morse

Saturday, January 11
12:30-2pm •
South End

Strength and mobility play a pivotal role in our ability to perform at our best and avoid injury, especially as we age. Yet even the most experienced runners often avoid resistance training and mobility work until they're already sidelined by injury.

This workshop is scheduled to coincide with the start of spring marathon training, this workshop will include:

  • The fundamentals of vinyasa to warm the body

  • A strength & conditioning circuit with a program designed to target the muscles used in running

  • We’ll close with a yin practice to target the connective tissue (i.e. what often leaves us feeling sore after a run) to help increase mobility

The goal is for every student to walk away with a clear understanding of how to incorporate resistance training and yoga into their training program - whether you're training for a 5k or a 50k.

Complimentary smoothies (gf, df, v) from Live Alive will be available to registered participants after the workshop.

Cost: $40 donation - all proceeds will go towards Emma's 2025 London Marathon fundraiser for Save the Children

*All levels welcome, no experience in yoga necessary, but a regular running practice is recommended.

Yoga mats are available to rent in studio for $3
