MADISON KITCHEN

FITNESS FACULTY

Madison is a master of fun. Her sense of play, honesty, unreserved joy and body positivity is contagious. Not afraid to push her students to explore and dig deep, she leaves students feeling seen, celebrated, and inspired.

Having received a BFA in drama with a minor in child and adolescent health studies at NYU, Madison's background in education makes her one of the most compelling yoga, sculpt, and kids teachers. Completing a dual Masters in Special Education and Social Work at Boston University, her expertise in working with children with diverse needs is born of a passion to make yoga accessible to all ages. Madison is also a respected champion of mental health and body positivity, having spent her younger years noticing how fitness industry lacks body diversity, particularly in imagery. "I rarely saw bodies like mine in exercise classes or fitness ads, and I never saw teachers who looked like me." As she began to appreciate that yoga class can be not just a profound physical experience but also a profound emotional and mental one, Madison became a passionate advocate for holding space for all people to delight in this practice. "Every body is a yoga body. You don't need to have a certain body type to be a leader in this practice. I want someone to feel free to come into my class and know that they can lay down and take nap, if that’s what they need. My space is for you to come as you are, whatever that looks like. I want to celebrate you that way.“
