CLAIRE ESTE McDONALD

VINYASA, RESTORATIVE AND AYURVEDA FACULTY

Claire, a Master Baptiste teacher, ERYT-500, teaches from an extensive background in health and healing. She holds a B.S. in nursing from Northeastern University, as well as degrees in kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.

Claire is known for teaching a strong, accessible, and physical practice deeply enriched with functional alignment. This work supports the body, not only physically, but energetically, mentally, and emotionally.Through extensive study and practice in Vedic astrology, Ayurveda, and shamanism, Claire lives a life deeply connected to nature, animal welfare, and Spirit. Claire's yoga journey started in her early childhood. Her grandmother, an important teacher, inspired Claire to acknowledge her body and its regenerative capabilities, no matter what life presented her with. These maternal teachings had a huge impact on Claire. The mental and physical benefits of yoga have carried her through the journey of recovery and healing from four back surgeries, Lyme disease, and breast cancer. Yoga has been paramount—not just because of the physical manifestation of these challenges, but also due to the overwhelming emotional terrain that comes along with their treatment. All this while being a mother, a wife, and a human being journeying through the uncertainties of life. All Claire's adventures in the rigors of yoga have returned her again and again to what she feels infuses the humane into the human: be kind and let love be.
