NICHOLAS ZABIT

VINYASA FACULTY

Nicholas Zabit’s yoga journey has been deeply shaped by and intertwined with Down Under. It was the first studio he practiced at in Boston, and that very first class became a defining moment—one that sparked a heartfelt commitment to make yoga a lasting part of his life. As an integral member of the Down Under community, Nicholas began by managing the front desk at the Back Bay studio and has since evolved into his current role as the Harvard Square Studio Manager, where he continues to inspire and support students as both a teacher and advisor.

Originally from San Rafael, California, Nicholas spent his childhood immersed in nature—climbing trees and swimming in the Pacific Ocean. He brings that same grounded, curious spirit to his yoga practice and teaching. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2023, he completed his 200-hour yoga certification, and is currently enrolled in both Down Under’s 300 Hour Teacher Training and a meditation teacher training rooted in Advaita Vedanta philosophy.

When he's not in the studio, Nicholas is a dedicated singer-songwriter and saxophone player, performing with local bands throughout the Boston area. His teaching is rooted in the power of the breath as a guiding anchor, inviting students to reconnect with themselves and cultivate presence. His hope is that each student leaves class feeling grounded, empowered, and inspired to make space for their own well-being.
