LYNNE CZYSZ

LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Hailing from the Buffalo, NY area, Lynne relocated to Boston in 2017. She has been in Waldorf Education for over 20 years and is grateful for the gifts this education has showered on her two children, now both adults.

In her mid-twenties, amidst a busy teaching and fulfilling family life, Lynne found an enlivening gem of an African-Brazilian dance class that was meaningful, fun, and therapeutic. This small group of powerful drummers and dancers were led by a dedicated teacher and yogi, Michelle Gigante, owner, and director of Shakti Yoga. Lynne credits this traditional, healing dance and Michelle’s vibrant teaching and friendship to help her find her way onto a yogic path. At the invitation of her college professor to volunteer to teach yoga at the Buffalo Psychiatric Hospital, Lynne experienced deep learning. She went on to complete her 200RYT  at Open Sky Yoga in Rochester New York with François Raoult, whose focus and love is Iyengar, and who learned and studied with the man himself.

Through her training with exceptional teachers in a comprehensive program and clinic, as well as volunteering as an MT at the Boston Marathon and the Pan-Mass Challenge, she is realizing her goal of helping people to achieve balance and health. Lynne comes to the work of massage with warm maturity, humble integrity, and knowledge that massage is her current calling. When asked what her focus is with massage techniques, she says, “the client “.  Listening and observing are the strongest tools of learning, she believes, and she applies this to massage. Trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial, she focuses on a blend of techniques to bring healing and relaxation. She feels honored and blessed to be a part of Down Under, a bright star in Boston that nourishes holistic health, community, and wholeness. Lynne hopes to meet you on the table soon.
