DR. SABBI LALL

RESTORATIVE FACULTY & MANAGEMENT

With a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Oxford, Sabbi came to the US for postdoc work at NYU, eventually settling at MIT.

Sabbi's professional experience in the biological sciences is coupled with her academic study of the history of yoga and meditation practices. She recently completed her Masters in Religions & Philosophy: Traditions in Yoga and Meditation at SOAS, University of London. Sabbi is a strong believer in beginner's mind and continues to study and be inspired by the history and philosophy underlying yoga and travels to South Asia to extend her studies and practice. Sabbi's long-term personal meditation practice, unparalleled humility and the gentle grace with which she walks through the world endear her to all. Her Yoga Nidra and Relax N' Renew classes draw on her restorative trainings under Judith Hanson Lasater and Ram Jain. She is also certified as a level 1 Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction teacher through the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. She is passionate about bringing her knowledge of traditional yoga and meditation texts, history, and philosophy into her teaching.
