NICOLE BELL
VINYASA, PILATES. & FITNESS FACULTY
Nicole’s classes blend power and rigor with release and self-compassion. She considers her flows inspired by the water she grew up around in the Pacific Northwest.
Nicole holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and Sustainable Agriculture, and her M.S. in Horticulture from Oregon State University. She completed her 200 and 500-hour certifications through her Baptiste affiliate studio in Oregon, and trained further with the Baptiste Institute in Utah in 2019. Approaching a decade of teaching, Nicole has instructed thousands of classes, facilitated teacher trainings, trained Division-1 athletes, and mentored teachers on the use of music.
She is passionate about strength training and a holistic approach to wellness. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), with a specialization in physique training and bodybuilding. Her additional certifications in yoga sculpt, mat pilates, and hot power pilates inspire her fitness sequences.
Her yoga classes are athletic and rigorous, often containing unilateral transitions and an emphasis on proprioception. Her fitness sequences are designed with functional training and efficient movement as a priority, and seeks to build her student’s confidence and strength over time.
Outside of her busy schedule at the studio, Nicole also works full time as an entomologist specializing in pollinator health and conservation for the state of Massachusetts. Much of her life and philosophy is centered around the beauty and value of all creatures, no matter how small. Ask her about native pollinators in New England, native plants, or her cat Bruce.
