Often referred to as “energy personified,” New York native Art Eleanore uses her warmth, playfulness, and compassion to support her students through the self-cultivation of courage and grace. With a true zest for life, philosophical insights, and classic comedic one liners, Art’s classes are engaging and transformative.
Her classes aim to foster a strong mind-body connection and create a safe place within our own bodies. Through breath awareness, she empowers students to manage the daily discomforts and sensations experienced by their nervous systems. She believes accountability for our reactions leads to self-mastery and freedom.
Art’s expertise is a culmination of a lifelong journey that started with her background as a competitive martial artist and athlete while privately dealing with chronic pain, Her knowledge spans various low-impact body conditioning modalities, driven by curiosity and self-acceptance. She truly believes movement is medicine, which eventually led her to practice Yoga, Pilates, and Inferno Hot Pilates.
Art’s approach to Pilates challenges antiquated norms, offering consistent and progressive results. She skillfully combines core Pilates principles with strength resistance training circuits and unique modifications that are supported by the latest spine and joint health literature. Always committed to evolving her technique, she is currently pursuing her STOTT Pilates Intensive Mat certification.
Art is also Inferno Hot Pilates trained, having practiced the IHP method for half a decade as a complement to her competitive training in the original hot 26 series. She offers both IHP Level 1 and Hot Pilates Level 2, incorporating her unique blend of low-impact HIIT and weighted strength training. Additionally, she holds certifications in multiple modalities, including completing 500 YTT and Yoga Sculpt certifications from Down Under Yoga.
Beyond the yoga mat, Art’s passion for movement and rehabilitation extends to her leadership of the Neurosciences Research Programs at a prestigious Boston hospital, leading all initiatives in both Neurosurgery and Neurology. As acting research fellow for the chair of Neurosurgery, her clinical interests revolve around lumbar and cervical spine degenerative diseases and disorders; additionally she runs a neurophysiology lab and actively publishes in both fields! Driven by passion and purpose, Art’s mission is to remind her students that it is their birthright to take up space, using her light to illuminate others to see themselves as the wondrous works of art they truly are.
