Jojo Reger is part of the foundation of this home

As a professional yoga teacher for more than 15 years, I am proud of the home I’ve made at Down Under. I get to teach to the most pure-hearted students at a school where I am listened to and loved. I have the comfort of knowing if my husband lost his job I could support my family through Yoga and our entire family would be on health insurance.

I would classify Down Under as a “type-A” studio in the best possible way. They run a tight ship down to every detail meaning, it’s beautiful, its professional, it’s clean, it’s smart but deeply personal.

Through the pandemic, we were assured that they had thought of 17 different scenarios and we’re ready for anything and everything. They tirelessly held our students' hands through the difficult and terrifying web of zoom and links.

We stayed together as a family does, I am forever grateful.

As faculty, I got to do my 300-hour teacher training here and I am constantly surrounded by a world of opportunities. Knowing that there is space to grow and expand, if and when I’m ready, really gives me peace of mind. As I am a busy mom of two, I’m so grateful for my place of work. And a highlight is when our holiday party is at Life Alive, whose food makes me dance (and I love dancing).

I’ve been with Down Under since the beginning, through highs and lows. As with life, when given the chance to pause and reflect on who we are, we always end up even closer than we were before.

We have grown and have made many changes for the better and that is what life is about. Be better, keep learning. We the teachers have just rewritten our contracts and all stand behind them because they are our words.

I’m excited to be part of the TLC and watch my friends step into leadership roles behind the scenes. Our teachers are grounded and kind and experts in their field. I love spending time at our studios. I get to see the sweet David Magone every Thursday. I talk fashion with Franny on Wednesdays, Tuesdays I cross paths with Hannah, who is a gift. I'm most excited to run into my fellow teacher Kyle, who exudes the coolness that people dream about, and yet has the biggest heart in the universe. And finally, I get to see the magnificent Stephen on Saturdays.

Life couldn’t be better. There is a teacher here for everyone, check us out and see for yourself.
